As may know, I am very close to my nephew and I’m a very involved Aunt. I don’t have any of my own kids (yet), so that does allow me more time. But the point is that I love kids and I love him and I make it a point to be involved. But ya’ll.. *I* got all emotional thinking about today. ME! And while I’m very involved, I’m not his momma. So if I get this emotional over my nephew??? I am in big trouble when I have my own. I can’t even imagine!

After a visit to the ENT Dr. and some testing we now have an answer for my nephews speech delay. The Dr. told us his hearing would be equivalent to what we would hear if we had earplugs in our ears. How sad is that...

With that said today he goes in for surgery

It was a very rainy trip to Oregon but as always a great time was had by all! Grandma was so "tickled" with her surprise birthday celebration!

Country Clubbing For Grandmas 90th!

If there's one thing my family has going for it, it's longevity. I am blessed to still have 2 living grandmothers. And one of those grandmas - my grandma Delores - is turning 90.
                                                                                  90!

And besides being blind in one eye, and suffering from the early stages of dementia.  Grandma is really actually in awesome condition. (Do you love how I just spoke about my grandmother like she was a car?)

To celebrate Grandmas 90th birthday, the family is throwing her a little surprise party tonight.

And yes, I see the irony...'Surprising a 90-year-old? Are you crazy???' But please don't think all of us jumping out and screaming "Surprise!" will stop her ticker.


Maddie (my sister) Greyson(nephew), and myself boarded the airplane yesterday and we took off to Oregon without her even knowing! My aunt has set up a small dinner at the Country Club. I can't wait to celebrate such a special birthday for someone that is so dear and special!

I just want you to know that u cannot bring your cattle prods, numchakus, throwing stars, tear gas, hand grenades, gel inserts for shoes, dumbbells, airbags, meat clever oh and fireworks, on the plane.  Good thing I checked before I zipped all these things up in my suitcase! Goodnight world!
